PLACEMENT OF LOGO
Business Cards and Stationery
It would seem an obvious choice that a new logo design would be placed on a company's business cards, letterheads and envelopes. However, not all logos are used for company identification, but for product branding. When conceiving a logo design, it is important to know how the logo is to be used.

Building or Storefront
Will your new logo be used on your building, and/or a sign indicating where you are located? When developing a logo, it is necessary to know whether the logo will be used in outdoor and larger scale locations. Some logos that work on a web site, or even a business card, may not work in larger sizes such as signage. We strive to develop identity that will work in all scales. However, everything all depends on where and how the new logo is to be utilized.

Local or National Advertising
What type of clientele are you trying to attract. If you are hoping to reach a national, or international scope, we will develop a logo design to meet those needs. However, if you are only hoping to capture local attention, then researching and developing the identity takes on a different approach.

Vehicles
Will you be placing your new logo on vehicles. This harkens back to whether the logo will work in different scales, and different media. When you consider your new logo, determine how the logo will be used. On vehicles, many different approaches can be utilized to place the logo on a vehicle... anything from cut and applied vinyl to painted to digitally printed graphics.

Promotional Items
Are you planning to utilize the logo on promotional items and/giveaway items. By selecting this, it will allow our designers to plan the logo design to suit those needs. A logo that is used on a business card or web site may not reproduce well on a pen or keychain. We will work with you to develop a logo that will suit those needs.

On the Internet
Will you be placing this logo on a website. In this event, you will want to consider the posibility of your new logo being animated. Our designers will work up a logo design the will work in both static (print) and animated formats.

Packaging (Product Branding)
Is this new logo being utilized to promote a new product? Capturing consumer interest with product branding could be completely different than a corporate identity. The professionals at ILTD will research the market to determine the best course of action when developing a product packaging logo.

Signage
This may seem like a rehash of an above item, but we are asking about other types of signage, such as point of sale, directional, etc. This may also work along the lines of Product Branding. Again scale, and market research are necessary to develop a logo design that will best benefit your needs.

Franchising Locations
Will this logo be used in locations throughout the country, in franchised or other offerings? Will a different logo be needed for these other locations, while the corporate location will have the main identity?

Uniforms/Apparel
Will the logo be needed to be placed on uniforms, or other apparel. Designing a logo with this in mind will help us determine if the logo can be transferred easily for embroidery or screenprinting.

Other
This applies to anything not covered in this site. It can be a unique idea for a logo that has not been thought of, or something we just hadn't thought of.
